245 - Thursday update + Book announcement!

Yaaay for Thursday!
ALSO! Some people have been asking me about the book, and how far along we are on it! So I got Greg to write the rest of this post for me:
Greg says:
At the rate the preorders are coming in, we'll finish the preorder bar in about July. Some people have asked how many books still need to be ordered, and why we don't show that number instead of the percentage. Well, that's because the number of 'sales needed' changes! Since sketch editions are worth more than non-sketch editions, if folks buy more of the sketches, we'll get there faster than if it were just the regular volumes. Basically, about four and a half regular editions make one percent, versus about three sketch editions. At the moment, if everyone keeps ordering the same proportions of sketch editions versus normal, we're somewhere around 80-85 books from filling the bar.
Another question has been, if we'll keep taking orders during the print process, once the bar is filled. Yes, we will- we're ordering extra books to ensure that we can get them to everyone who wants one.
Now, that said, Jenny has told me that she's only willing to do another 92 sketch editions (just to round it out to an even number). So if you would like a personal sketch from Jenny, you may want to order soon!
Finally, I know I said we'll probably be done by July if the current orders keep up... but I'd like to speed things along, so I'm currently working on a coupon for the store. It'll probably be $5 off if you get a book and some other item. Look for the coupon to show up later on today :)
And yes, the coupon will apply to book plus patches, when our next shipment of patches arrives.

Original script for 03-22-2010:
This script may not match the finished comic! It will, however, contain the original spelling errors and other mistakes.
[cut to Jenny and Megan]
[starts off with Megan closing the door to the room. NOW IT IS JUST THE TWO OF THEM, they are in the hallway on the opposite side of the room, from the door that Sammie and crew will be leaving from. Megan sits down--she's got the lame, and Jenny remains standing]
Megan: [pauses to think about what she'll say, and waits until Jenny sits down on the chair opposite her before she speaks] Talk to me. What are you thinking?
Jenny: I just don't trust him.
Megan: is it because of how you first met him?
Jenny: Well, yeah. He's a berserker. They're fucking dangerous and sadistic.
Megan: Charlie is nothing like that. What you saw in the lab is gone. It's no more--when Charlie woke up as a Half-Life, he was a blank slate. He doesn't remember anything about being a human, and he doesn't remember anything about being a berserker. For all he knows, this is the first time he's met you.
